http://www.kuk-wehrmacht.de/biograph/f0024simonyi.html - except the episode with the bridgew as just after Wagram, when he set fire to a bridge and THEN :!: led his men over. Completely crazy.

There is even a new hotel named after him - http://www.hotelobester.hu/en Obester means Colonel, but it is a reference to Simonyi, who was born down the road from Debrechen, which is itself far out in NE Hungary.
