First edition contains an items from the private collections, that derrives from the Russian campaighn of 1812.
All the shako and helmet plates are found within the former Russian Empire boarders. Along with archaeology a numerous colour drawings illustrates the plates placement on the uniform.
The book presents Polish, Westphalien, Italian, Baden, Wurtemberg, Spanish, Portuguese and, of course, mostly French shako plates of the Napoleonic period used before 1813.

Actualy there are 3 authors who worked at this book and several collectioners, who provided items to make this book issued, same as I did.
The authors are all reenactors who join 15 legere regiment in Russia and study the 1812 Russian Campaighn archeology nearly 15 years.

This book is a first tome of planned trilogy.
The second part will describe Napoleon's army metal badges worn on the military uniform, like eagles, grenades, chasseur horns, shoulder belt insignia, other cartridge box and uniform badges (will be issued in 2015)
The third part will be dedicated to a Russian army insignia of Alexander I period (planned to be issued in 2015-16).

The first tome is in Russian language only.
For Non-russian readers we can provide whole text file in Word format for convenient use with online translators.

The book has 160 pages, soft cover, coated paper, A4 format
Each plate picture has a short text underneath describing the regiment, manufacturing specification, material it is made of and size.
The book also contains the regulation data for different regiments and period of usage.
