Greetings all,
Not sure how many of you are located near Montreal, but there will be an upcoming exhibit with over 250 pieces on display. The collection is called NAPOLEON: Art and Court Life in the Imperial Palace and is on loan from Fontainebleau. The dates are from
February 3, 2018-May 6, 2018 and I will certainly be making a visit!! The link below provides more information.

Thank you for posting this Nicholas. American members have two more chances to see the exhibition, in Virginia and Kansas.
After Montreal, the exhibition will travel to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.

European members can see the exhibition at the Musée National du Château de Fontainebleau,
Check the website of the relevant museum for further details.

So over Veterans Day Weekend I decided to head up to Montreal with the family and made a stop by the MMFA. They have a small permanent gallery of Napoleon's items which were donated by the late Ben Weider. Some of the items included Napoleon's hat used during the Russian invasion of 1812 (it was amazing to see in person!), silverware he used while in exile on St. Helena, a pair of his riding gloves, and several marble busts. It was truly amazing to see it person and I look forward to the exhibit arriving in February! (I apologize for some of the photos coming out sideways, I took them on my iPhone)

Thank you for posting your very clear photos. It's interesting to know what's there and how the collection came to be.
