Memorial on the Coa

Postby OXFORDMON » November 24th, 2011, 7:05 pm

The 2010 memorial on the Coa at 'Craufurds' bridge near Almeida, scene of the famous (infamous?) clash between the Light Division and Ney' s 6th Corp, the old bridge on the right next to the new road bridge, an impressive memorial.

Andy.

Great pics, Andy! :) What does it say on the sign by the bridge on the second photo down of the second batch you posted?

Mark

The sign at the bridge gives an explanation of the action which took place, it is in Spanish or Portugeuse, I can't remember which
