Re-enactors in the Snow?

Postby unclearthur » January 25th, 2013, 12:00 pm

Can anyone help me out?

I'm looking for a couple of short video clips (2-5 seconds each) of re-enactors in the snow, preferably in British and French uniform (cavalry and artillery would be fine, too lol). I'm putting together a book trailer for my new novel, set during Sir John Moore's march through Spain.

Any suggestions much appreciated :)

If you're still looking, try googling Austerlitz reenactment or retreat from Russia, 1812 reenactment, they're all French, Austrian and Russian of course but I've never seen reenactors do the British in the snow, but there should be some videos on Utube.
And I know you asked for vids but I like these photo's too, in case you want to do a slideshow version.

Thanks, Josh. I found some odds and ends and used some I took myself.

It was only a tryout, and turned out sort-of okay, but Spielberg I ain't. The toughest part was getting permission to use the re-enactment shots, believe it or not :?

I think it's a nice emotive little trailer. It stands up well against other ones I've seen, it's just a shame British Reenactors don't bother with snowball fights otherwise you'd have been made!

You're too kind, dear sir :D

If it sells well enough maybe the publisher will fund the next one. Hmmm
