Battle of San Juan, 17th April-2nd May 1797

I believe today is the anniversary of the beginning fo the Battle of San Juan. The action began when Lieutenant-General Sir Ralph Abercromby invaded the island of Puerto Rico in what would be one of the largest invasions of Spanish territories in the Americas. It would end on 2nd May in victory for the Spanish.

The Battle of San Juan is a lesser-known action of our period of interest and if members can suggest any further reading on the subject please do post details below.
