Holidaying in the grounds of Hougoumont itself? Now that is different!

A year or so ago it was suggested that the gardener's cottage would house a visitors centre.

The statement on Anna Keay's blog that It is only very rarely that the Landmark Trust takes on a building outside the United Kingdom implies that the future of the cottage is certain only as long as it's viable. Just as the Hougoumont Trust intends to preserve Hougoumont for the long-term future.

Who owns Hougoumont, including the cottage?

I think I would have preferred the cottage to have been turned into a visitor centre to be honest.
