As Oman said once the French Wars terminated everyone forgot about the veterans. Waterloo did its part to make those who had fought in Spain even more sidelined. I know a fair amount about De Lacey Evans' rather infamous British Legion that went back to Spain in the Carlist War, this in itself is only due to what Costello wrote about them, but during the Wars of South American Independence I understand Bolivar organised his British volunteers into legions and they did him good service. If anyone wants to talk or share knowledge about these units please feel free. To start with, anyone know of contemporary accounts? I've seen this book

Which looks like a good starting place.
