Thanks Andy. The light was bad for the close-ups and flash reflected from the shiny stone but at least the detail is visible though the pics are too yellow.

Amazing how different things look in the winter light, Rodrigo last January had a completely different 'feel' and was thoroughly enjoyable (if a little cold :) ).

Were you able to see the bicentennial exhibition in the palace near the artillery HQ? It closes this month and was supposed to be open the Sunday we were there but alas, closed that day and on Monday as well.

I didn't see the exibition unfortunately, i don't know why :oops: , unless it was closed at the time ?
