Hi Marie

I would love to be there and am going to try. No idea how booked-up hotels etc. are getting but I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few already are?!

I shall be there, God permitting. Local hotels already fully booked. I hope it will be a great day. Perhaps a NWF meeting on the ridge might be coordinated?! :D

One wonders if we will see people camping out in tents?!

I certainly intend to be there, all being well. Booked a year ago and most hotels are now fully booked, I don't know about camping but would hope that some plans are being made for that.

Come and play 'dress up' with the thousands of re-enactors who will be there. Enjoy the camp (cheaper than a hotel!)- woodsmoke, horses, bagpipes and bugles at 6 in the morning, beer and bonhomie in the evening! I've done about eight or ten of the anniversary Bivouac Napoleons to date. All different, all great fun. if challenging at times. Can't wait for 1815. But before that next year hopefully we have Toulouse, Hoogstraten and many more including a Quatre Bras event at Blenheim in the UK. Join us on the Road to Waterloo.

I am thinking of a visit to Blenheim Palace in the near future. Not heard of this event so will have to find out more!

Hi
Yes we'll be going to the official events in Belgium on 19 June and 20 June - we've got tickets for both evenings - the French Attack and the Allied Response, plus we'll be looking at the bivouacs beforehand for a day or two. It is going to be a packed few days at Mont St Jean but it would be nice to meet up if at all possible.
Not sure how easy it will be to get around the site with all the expected crowds, though
Now all I have to do is sort out accommodation in Brussels!
best wishes
